Butte Rehab

Butte County is in the northern part of California. The 2020 census put the county’s population at more than 211,000 people. Many of them will need professional care to detox and overcome drug or alcohol use, and some Butte rehab centers can offer them that care.

However, there are those in the county who may be better served by coming to Luxe Recovery in Los Angeles.

Symptoms of Addiction

Drug and alcohol addiction, also known as substance use disorder (SUD), is a complex condition that can present with a variety of symptoms. The most immediately visible sign is using substances.

However, the use of substances itself doesn’t always indicate an addiction. Rather, the most prominent sign of an addiction is the loss of control over substance use.

Many substances can cause a person to suffer from harmful effects, such as how alcohol can impair judgment and coordination or how cocaine can cause serious nasal problems.

But people who have an SUD will keep taking drugs or alcohol despite these effects because their minds and bodies have become so acclimated that they couldn’t stop if they wanted to.

People who struggle with addiction may also find themselves losing interest in anything other than the substances that they consume. It doesn’t matter if it’s a hobby, their loved ones, or their careers, all of it can become secondary to using drugs or drinking alcohol.

Substance Use in Butte

Butte County has serious issues with drug use, especially when it comes to meth and opioids like fentanyl. 2022 saw 123 overdose deaths in the county, with meth and fentanyl being prominent causes. There are also cases of polydrug use and a person overdosing on a combination of different substances.

These deaths underscore the serious need for drug and alcohol treatment services in the area.

Why Come to Our Addiction Treatment Center in Los Angeles

While the treatment facilities in Butte can help, there are still some reasons to come to Los Angeles for treatment. These reasons include:

Mental Health Treatment

Part of our treatment includes addressing not just a person’s substance abuse but also any co-occurring mental health issues that they may present with. Dual Diagnosis Treatment allows us to address a person’s behavioral health disorders at the same time.

Isolation from Normal Circumstances

Coming to us for inpatient rehab doesn’t just mean confidential care, it also means being isolated from the circumstances that may have triggered a person’s addiction, but also the people who may have enabled their behavior.

Personalized Approach

Our treatment services are also tailored to each patient’s needs. Our team will work with everyone who comes to us to understand their needs and craft a treatment plan that will help them meet their recovery goals.

Evidence-Based Treatment

We use a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities in our care. These can include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing (MI).

Holistic Therapies

We also use various holistic therapies such as yoga and reiki. These practices can foster comprehensive recovery and long-term health by addressing some of the physical and emotional aspects of recovery.

Continuity of Care

We also offer various levels of care, such as detoxification, residential care, outpatient treatment, and sober living.

Inpatient or Outpatient Rehab?

Residential treatment is what many people picture when they think of treating addiction. However, that is not the only form of addiction treatment available to people. Those whose disorders are mild to moderate can find that outpatient treatment may give them the support that they need.

Choosing inpatient care can mean accessing more intensive treatment and a structured environment that is monitored and overseen by a treatment team. It can also, however, entail a major life disruption as people who seek it have to put their lives on pause for 28 days or more.

Outpatient care can mean accessing more flexible treatment. People who are in an outpatient program go to multiple therapy sessions per week and continue to live in their own homes and live their lives with minimal disruption. However, the treatment offered in outpatient rehab may not be enough to foster long-term recovery.

It should be noted that inpatient and outpatient treatment programs are not mutually exclusive. Addiction is complex, and a person’s treatment needs can change.

Preparing to Leave a Rehab Center

Inpatient alcohol or drug rehab isn’t meant to last forever. Eventually, a person will have to leave inpatient treatment and return to their normal lives. However, many people who leave treatment will relapse.

Treatment providers are aware of how common relapse is and prepare a variety of aftercare services. Another way that treatment providers get their patients ready to return to the real world is by offering sober living programs.

In a sober living home, a person will live with a measure of independence. They will take care of themselves, share in the upkeep of common areas, and comply with house rules. They may also be randomly tested for drugs or alcohol.

We Want Your Recovery to Last

Lasting recovery is possible, and there may be instances of relapse. However, with support and determination, a person can build a healthy, sober life for themselves and live free of drugs or alcohol. Contact us to learn more.
