In California, San Andreas will almost invariably refer to the San Andreas Fault. However, San Andreas is also the name of the county seat of Calaveras County. In Spanish, Calaveras means skulls, and it’s reported that the county was named for the Native American remains found in the area.
The county is also home to Calaveras Big Trees State Park, which is a state park that features two groves of giant sequoia trees. One of the trees that was felled in the 1850s was determined to be more than 1,200 years old. The park is considered the longest continuously operated tourist attraction in the state.
Aside from ancient trees, Calaveras is also home to more than 45,000 people as of the 2020 census. Many of them will struggle with drugs and alcohol, and there are Calaveras rehab centers that can offer them treatment.
However, some people may find that coming to Luxe Recovery in Los Angeles is what they need to do to recover from addiction.
