Why Treatment Programs are Personalized
Treatment in rehab often involves group therapy, individual therapy, and other therapeutic activities to help a person develop the life skills they need to achieve and maintain sobriety.
However, while the goals of treatment programs remain the same, achieving those goals will be different for everyone. Not everyone will take the same path toward recovery. This is because people who’ve struggled with addiction have had different underlying causes for their struggles, and many react differently to treatment.
This is especially true if a person has a co-occurring mental health disorder, as these will have to be addressed at the same time as substance use. Not everyone who lives with addiction will also have a mental health disorder, so not everyone will need Dual Diagnosis treatment services.
