What to Expect in Treatment
In residential treatment, a person will receive comprehensive care and support from a skilled team to help address their substance use. It’s also common for them to receive therapeutic care for mental health issues because a person’s mental wellness and substance use are often linked.
While in residential treatment, a person will be monitored continuously. This ensures that they’ll be kept safe, which can be a major concern as some substance use disorders can become severe enough that a person can become a danger to themselves.
Treatment is tailored to a person’s specific needs. Residents may undergo various forms of therapy and other forms of care and support to help address their concerns and foster long-term recovery from addiction.
Residents will also engage in individual and group therapy to delve into the root causes of their issues as well as develop healthy coping mechanisms to maintain their recovery from drug and alcohol use.
